Latte from fairly traded organic coffee beans – £3.50

If you’re a country bumpkin craving a feel for home then Dalesford Organic is the cure!  Set in Pimlico’s pretty little leafy square, it’s three floors of classy, top quality organic food from the most well respected food suppliers in the country (their farm is based in Gloucestershire). We visited this weekend and fell in love with it.

Such beautiful design with clean white spaces and slate grey features, it’s such a calming place to socialise.

Rich organic cheeses, atlantic smoked salmon, cured & hung meats from the farm

Downstairs you have an absolute feast of food on sale – wooden cretes filled with fresh produce direct from the farm, huge wheels of cheese, wicker baskets filled with jams and chutneys, timber boxes of organic wine, handmade chocolate treats, luxurious cereals – the finest, freshest virginous food all in one place, heaven!

Eat a healthy rainbow of colours – help yourself to however much you need.

You could compare the concept to Whole Foods – but Daylesford has much more of a home feel, with none of the tourists! It’s a hidden gem.

Storage needs solved!!

The menu is an ever-changing medly of organic dishes, you will find the specials on the market-style blackboard, a signature dish would be the ‘Smoked salmon on pumpernickel with Daylesford hard boiled egg, capers, parsley, red onion & Sicilian lemon’. The service was perfection – smiley, classy, and pleasant on the eye!!

We loved it so much we almost didn’t want to share this post! It’s fairly small, so we don’t want too many people flocking so sshhh….

Whistler Recommendation: Make a day of it with a post-Daylesford Saatchi Gallery trip in Duke of York Square.
